So I've had two hours sleep today and we're doing this and,'cause we're doing it on a Wednesday and I've gotta get the out tomorrow, I've gotta go through and edit it and I'll probably be very tired by the time I go to bed. And then on top of that we, I've, I'd push first to do a bonus episode for the Grand Final on Friday, which I've gotta do the exact same thing of get it. I've gotta record it and try to edit it and get it out like ASAP so that it's out before Saturday, Sunday.

I was on day shift on Friday, so I got the storm game against the sharks. I gotta watch all of that live the Broncos Panthers one. I knew the score when I got home. and I'll mention that before,'cause I think when I've gone back through and watched it, I've been a bit more aware of what was going on and didn't get the actual reaction of what the game was. So, and I also got to fit in watching the A FL Grand final. Did you watch any of the a Ffl Grand Final?
squadcaster-0f2h_1_10-01-2025_194203:no, I only, I only caught the highlights of the A FL Grand Final, but, yeah, it was pretty good. They, they were they from the highlights and that.
_1_10-01-2025_194203:Yeah, well lines go back to back. which is a fair achievement for'em really. But pretty simple., It was all locked up at half time, bit backwards and forwards, just a close game. And then the end of that third quarter, Brisbane just kicked away and, got momentum and there was just no coming back from it. They were just kicking goals for fun by the end of it. And, the final score shows that,'cause I'm pretty sure it was 56 all at half time or something around about there, and then ended up 122 to 75. So yeah, pretty convincing wind by the lines and that's, that's exactly why I like to go and watch these games. It doesn't matter what sort of final it is. If it's a final, I'll watch it.'cause generally they'll be the best teams, or at least one of them will be the best team and you'll probably get the best display of that sport at the end of the day, unless you're, you know, manly in 2008 where they just flogged the storm, which is a bit different.

I think I was listening to Bloke in a Bar podcast at work last night, and, they went through the, the defensive stats and he had very minimal tackles compared to, his center, his second row. I think they've done very, very well with it. And yeah,, it was a good game. The Sharks goal line defense was unbelievable, but it was just the, I feel like it was the second phase play was just better from the storm and they'll just throwing the right passes to get through the line and to create those opportunities where when the Sharks did create second phase play, it was they were lost and didn't know what to do. But at the, at the same time. As soon as Jaden Braley had create a bit of, speed from the rock and start pushing forward and they'd gain a little bit of momentum. They'd get all the way up the other end of the field and they'd give away a penalty or drop the ball or something stupid had happened and it'd transfer the, the momentum back to, to the storm. And I think, I think that's where it was pretty much won, was just sharks mistakes. It was a lot closer game than what it seemed, than what the final score line would have you think?

I think I've seen before that the Sharks might be actually looking for another fullback. they're not gonna stick with Kennedy, and I don't necessarily know if that's the correct way to do it, because Kennedy's a pretty decent player.

But you could clearly see that the player was hanging off the ball.

But in reality that's supposed to be a possible eight point try because it was failed, played during a put down if he had scored it. But they wouldn't have awarded it that way. But do you want to give it a penalty? Try I, I'm happy either. Either way. Do I think that he would've scored if Pap didn't hit him in the throat? Well, that's the only reason Pap was up that high was the cover of the ball. But I think, I think there was too many variables to say that he would've definitely scored. Because Munster was there. So he would've, he could've positioned better. I don't, I don't think he could give it as a penalty try. I, I don't, I don't think so. And then there was the other, there was the other, big, big frigging one that split a lot of people, the head clash with Trindle rushing up out of the lion and hitting Jerome Hughes. I, when I was watching it, and it was mainly because I was backing the Sharks'cause that's what our, our podcast BET slip was, was you picked the sharks. So we had to support the shark. And I was sitting there, I'm that's a head clash. how can you penalize that? But then I got up the next morning, let it settle down, and I was just going flick through Facebook and someone said that it was just like a duty of care type thing where he, he s thrown himself at him like that without any. Sort of, respect towards him. And I'm no, that actually, that makes sense. I can understand given a penalty for that.'cause he has, he's gone in carelessly, like, and it's caused the head clash whether he hit his shoulder or not. Anyway, he's, he's put in, he's gone in carelessly to cause it to begin with. So I kind of, I, I can cop that, I can cop that penalty from that

But, um, the other thing that really pissed me off, so I've obviously was very upset by the Walsh penalty in the Canberra game'cause he kicked him when he ran across in front of him. He didn't attack his legs or anything like that. Shouldn't have been a penalty On Friday. Jerome Hughes got taken out at least three times and absolutely flattened after he kicked the ball with the exact same referee, nothing called.

But not every single player on that field gets points. I believe. If you want to have the best player, every single player on the team needs to get a rating. And then, you, you divvy your points up that way. And that's how you get a true indication from each game because you've got the way that it's set up now that you could have a team full of superstars. That steal points off each other each week where you could be coming last, the nights and if say PGA goes out and has a blinder, he's the best player on the field for the nights every week, but they get flogged,

So I think that that's probably a game that I wouldn't complain about it, but at the same time, you can wait for it to come down in price. So, so I've got, I've got some bonus. Points that I spent the other day that are sitting there, I think we've got about 40 bucks, so it's not gonna cost me that much to get it if I did anyway. battlefield six is coming out in a couple of weeks as well, hopefully back to the roots of what a battlefield game is and not what the last one was.'cause that was just a mass multiplayer game and it wasn't fun without friends. I could see it being fun with friends, without friends, not so much, but at least this one has a single player and stuff like that, that I can play it by myself. And it's a little bit smaller. New Call of Duty Black Op seven out this month as well. yeah, there's Jurassic World Evolution three, if you like, that sort of, like the city builders or, you build your own zoo and stuff, but with dinosaurs.
