the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Welcome to episode eight of the Incoherent Podcast. I'm here with Zach Hoover's not here. He, um, he had some other stuff that he needed to do tonight and didn't have the time to jump on,, gonna do our Perth Bears episode today. So hope Zach's got his team together.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Thinking outside the box with my team and, talking to you the other day, you said about your salary cap affecting your team, but don't know,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Oh, my mine, mine's not under the salary cap, or you probably, you could probably maybe work it under the salary cap if you really needed to, but I don't think it would.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:sombrero.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. Well, it's only, it'd only be because they've gotta play a lot of money for, you know, they're gonna have to throw big money out for the, um, players. So
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah, I think that we, they'd be looking at these, these couple of feeder teams. They would've already had their eyes on a lot of the, the Queensland Cup and a lot of the, um, new South Wales Cup
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah. There'll be,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:now, and full well that they can start recruiting from November one.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah. Do we, there'd be a lot of players we would know about, like,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:percent. There'd be a lot of players that we
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Um, especially, yeah, those, those ones coming through, they're gonna give a shot to,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:gonna be on train and trial deals, and they're gonna be playing for less than a hundred K.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:So that'll, that'll help them spend money. I. The spine, if they can spend money on their spine lock in a good spine, and then they can build from there.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Before we get into our teams I was, that's what I was gonna ask y'all. What do you think would be, say in five years, what success look like for the Perth Bears? What, what would it look, what would success be to you?
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Um, if they're sort of pushing, I won't say that they've gotta be pushing the eight. I said the, the dolphins they recruited well and they, they've got themselves into a good spot, but they also got a lot of players at the back end of their con, like their careers.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:they already had, they bought that experience. But if the bears are sitting around sort of 14 to 10 five years time, winning games, not getting flogged week in, week out by the, the bigger and better teams. Your Melbourne, your brisbane's, refs, um, then I, I would say they've had a, a fairly successful start their campaign.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Well I think I, I was thinking that maybe that they need to grow the game in Perth and if they can capitalize on that and expand in Perth itself and, you know, start setting up juniors. In WA and embracing that state and drawing in those new fans and getting good membership numbers, I think that's success. But that success is gonna come from success on the field. But I think you're right. I don't think they need to be winning grand finals or pushing for the top four or anything like that. You need to find players with experience that can set up the culture around the club so that you know, going forward they've got a base that they work off that this is what our club's about. So I know that when the Knights first started, it was all about hard work and you know. Being there for your mate and putting in and just being tough and that was all part of it. They're not like that now, but hopefully Holbrooke can install some of that into'em. But you know, it, I think that's what you need to, to build it off, build off the history of the North Sydney bears and stuff like that and you know, go on, but, but try to capitalize on being in WA and growing rugby league. You've been given it an opportunity, so
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Oh, a hundred percent. If they can you build that culture and then a franchise from that culture, do exactly what Melbourne's done. They're
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Melbourne's they love and hated throughout the whole NRL supporter base. But
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:they built that culture. They've, they've built the fans. Perth can quite easily do. They've got a whole state that
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:them,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:that's what they've gotta look to do.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah, yeah. Well, Melbourne are trying to set all their juniors and their New South Wales Cup and all that up now so that they're not running through Queensland Cup and all of that. I know Perth have set up ties with, um, the Brisbane Tigers and they've also got their North Sydney, new South Wales Cup side. But being able to, you know, that's, that's well and good to start with the set yourself up. But I do think that they might need to look at having their own sort of squad in like a New South Wales Cup or Queensland Cup.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:The big thing, yeah. Would have to be, build that culture
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:and wanna be, they need to be looking for those players. That have built culture and they, they've shown that in the clubs that they're at now and then,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:instill that within a fairly new club and workspace over in Perth, well, yeah, I think they can be successful. Do I see it happening inside the first 10 years? Probably not,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah. That's sort of what I,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:happen.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:that's what I've looked at with my team. Like I've got players there that bring experience but also bring that hard work because that's what they do for their clubs they're currently at. Like, they'll, they'll dig in and have a go, like they barely, rarely ever off have off games and on the other side of it, I've got some younger players that are coming through that have shown the goods that,, going forward, developing and stuff like that will, will help carry that experience from those players through for the next generation as well. So,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah, that's what I've looked at. So anything else?
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Now I, um, I'm interested to, to hear your thoughts on your, your team. So, I've, I've gone through and selected a 13, but I couldn't stop, so I've actually
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:one through
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I've got, I've got 17, I've, I've got, I've got a bench here and I've taken it from players. It hasn't come. So we're both gonna know that there's gonna be players like today. Pez it was released for, feeder was released. Like there's players that are gonna be released that'll probably sign with the Bears or you know, that we don't know about that won't be on it. We've gone through with players that legally on November one will be free to negotiate with the Bears that still have a contract for next season. So there would be other players, there'd be players in the Super league. I haven't got any Super League players in here because I couldn't find anything like that. Like, you know, sailor and there's players over there that could come back, um, if, if need be, and I think there will be.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:is it the same November one transfer type thing with the Super League though?
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I do believe so.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Like, yeah.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I believe so. I'm not sure the NRL was in discussions with the Super League today about taking it over and everything went well apparently, so I think. Once the NRL does take over, everything will sync up. Um, just like with the Ashes game on the weekend, there's different rules, um, because they don't,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Oh,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:they don't follow our rules completely until a couple of years after when they implement the same rules. Um, but it'll probably make it all unified across both, both, um, competitions. So
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:that's what I, I believe is gonna happen if they end up taking it over. But there's a few other companies that are got a lot of money that are gonna put their hand in it. It's whether or not the Super League want to give it control of the NRL or not. So that's only for the NRL to run it. It's not, they'll just set the, set the Super League up, the same as what the NRL is here and with the success that they've had here, and just do it a little bit differently, you know? So, yeah. Anyway, we don't know what each other's teams are either, by the way. So, yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah, it's, uh, just the biggest surprise for each of us that you guys are gonna find out as well.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:think
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:you think, do you think it'll be completely different?
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:for me.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Uh, I've, I've swapped and changed a couple of times through the week.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I was actually fullback, I was pretty set on, like I sat down there, it was hard to pick, but. I've picked me fullback, I'm, pretty happy with it. And I
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah, no, I, I, I've got one, but I.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:can get outta the system that he's in now and go over there, fresh start, I think he could develop and go to the next level.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah, no, mine's the same. I don't actually think that he'll end up over there at all. I think I know exactly what's gonna happen, but,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:um,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:a big chance my number one does go there.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:you reckon?
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah. Though, no, he's not real happy with the
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:All right. Well, who's your fullback?
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Buller from the West Tigers.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Uh, yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:He's quite unhappy with the West Tigers at the moment'cause of things happening in the background with his wife. His
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:has promised a, um. Start with the women's side and that they've back flipped on that deal and Buller is looking to, to get out. Like I
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:he can get it gets outta that system goes over there, there's a big chance he does go to that next level.'cause he shows a lot of potential. He's got that heart and that fight.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. Well I went with um, Jay Gray. I think he's got a lot to offer, like ball playing, running. He's been great for South, so I don't think South will lose him. I think Latrell will end up in the centers and dry gray will be the South's fallback. Um, he's already turned his back on the 360 thing. When they said about the 10 year ban, i'm pretty sure. But that is going through what the media says. So, you know, we only know as much as what everybody else does. We've got no inside information or anything like that. But I've gone with, I've gone with Jay Gray,'cause up and coming player, young player, you know, pretty sturdy player to have for a long time on that spine. I did want Cabo, but I don't think Cabo has the ball playing ability that Gray has. Cabo is kind of just a bigger body, just like, um, Latrell is,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:i would've agree with you. Cobos. He's, he wants, he wanted to go to full bat,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:he's good there as a replacement and a backup, but to
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. I,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I don't think he's up to it.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:as your, as your premier fullback and not having your, the rest of your spine complete in a new team, I think it's too big an experiment. To be honest. Um,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I know Speak. Speaking of Cobo though, I actually do have him as my number two.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:so do I
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:So I think
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:that's what I've got as well. I've got, I've got Cabo on the wing and I've also got, um, Jesse Arthurs on the other wing.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I also have Jesse Arthurs at number five, and the reason I went with Cobo is for that availability for him to be able to go and play in any of those positions across the, across the
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:his versatility. Um, Jesse Arthurs, he's had a fairly good season over the
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:year, and I
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Okay.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:gonna be chasing more consistent football.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I think they're two very good players. Cobos on his way to the Dolphins for one season. So he's very likely for him to land him, um, on more money, obviously, um, to keep him away from the Broncos. And the Broncos already have Mariner, you know, who's their other winger.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah. Jesse Arthur was there. Marr?
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:There's another one there
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Grand final.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I know who you mean. Uh, I'm just going think a bit off the top of my head, but yeah, he's, I don't think Cobo goes back to Brisbane. I know he said he'd like to go back to Brisbane, but if he doesn't sign with Perth and I, he has a pretty good season with the Dolphins. I think could potentially. Keep him there,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:but he's
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:that's like bull. He can get outta that. Well, he's outta the system now. He's released, he's off to the dolphins. But if he can now get outta that whole southeast Queensland area and go
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:a name for himself somewhere in a, in a system that's fresh.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yep.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:So,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:agree. And I think Jesse Arthur has heaps to offer. I think it's just the, the Broncos already have quality in that, you know, that that position, like, he's not gonna get a center spot there. And I don't think he knocks off Mariner. So, um, I think, I think Jesse Arthur still has a lot to give and I think he's a very, very good winger. Um,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Um,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:been for a while, to be honest. He's kind of snuck under the, under the radar there.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:is just got through and done his job and. Sort of stood out a bit more this year'cause um, Brisbane was sort of going down his side a bit and he was scoring trials. He was involved more. But
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I think they both got enough first grade experience that Perth could use them both.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Um, but speaking of experience of it, my center pairing, I have, I've gone with some really good experience. Both can goal kick, so it covers that, area as well. Um, and that's Nick Meanie
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I had. I had, um, Manie and my team and took him out when I put gray in it. Fullback, I had Manie on the wing, but, um, I took Manie out. So I went with Tomoko and um, Garrett,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah, Timko. I dunno if he leaves that Canberra
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:put him, he put himself, he put himself on the open market the other day. He said he wants to test the market. So Tomoko compared to meaning Tomoko is a, a bit younger and he is, he's a, he's a really good center, strong runner of the ball, can score a try. And like you said, Garrick is reliable. He can goal kick, he's good. He can, um, finish, he can throw a pass. You know, Gar wouldn't be outta place at fullback'cause he filled in a fullback at me. Only when you know. Tom wasn't there, so,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:you know, I like Gar as a player.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:and that's why both center pairings mine, I thought can fill in at that one role if needed or
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Minnie's got the ability he can slip into six if he's really needed there.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I, I seen the upside to, to both of them and Garrick's coming out, coming out of a pretty good manly system.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Meany, well he lived that Melbourne system that he's come from, I think the
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah. I just, I just couldn't fit Manie in here, but I think Manie would be a, a good alternative for that center spot. Well, yeah. So you got at six, who's your six?
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Um, mine's a little bit outta the box of my six. Well, I think it is. And that's Jake Aava.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Aava, uh, I didn't like Avalo because Avalos already moved to the Dolphins to start a club and stuff like that, you know, but, and I kinda like him better at that center role, I think. But, um, I went with, um, Billy Wilders on his way outta the, you know, the Bronco. The Broncos have signed pe they've got MIM and they've got two good hookers coming through. He doesn't really, he's kind of the odd man out, and I think he played very well this year without his dad there. I think he's earned. He's shown that he can control a team or he can help with control on that team. And I think he's got that little bit of experience there and you can get, you know, three or four years out of him being in that position to provide stability. And because I went with a young AF back just like the Dolphins did with ka, I've, I've pretty much done the same thing and I was actually surprised that he was, um, I could pick him up.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah. Or Walters is. I did have him in my team at nine, so I think his best position is nine. But yeah, I was thinking Amarillo because yeah, he does have the ability that he can go out to the centers and my number 14 can slip into that six roll quite easily. To give that different Yeah,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:and give Abilla the chance. A good ball runner. He's not a
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:strong kicker of the ball, I don't think. That's not his strong suit,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Amarillo's ball running. And you can set him up in a system where, and tell him that, that you want him to run the ball, well, I think he's got that going for him. Um,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:the other one was a. Very close. Second choice at six for me would've been Jake Clifford. I tossed and turned and yeah,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:think he goes there. I don't, I, I don't, I don't think he goes there.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I don't think he goes over there either, but if I'm building a club, he's got the ability that he could play six or seven, and I think you could pick him up reasonably cheap,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah, another one that can be another one that could be picked up for like, to play, um, to play fullback. That it'd be good for like a culture sort of thing. And that experience and, you know, a good, a good player to build all of your, you know, your foundations off is James ESCO's off contract as well. And whether or not he, they have a play in him to try and bring him over as the first captain and, you know, but I don't see it likely. I think he finishes at the Roosters'cause um, yeah, I think the roosters have done a lot for him, but it, it's still within the possibility. So there's a lot of, you know, our teams aren't gonna be, it'd be nice to see how close we get with the signings, but I don't, I dunno what direction they're gonna go. I don't dunno what Mel wants. So what sort of team he's gonna want.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah, it, he's been involved in that roosters culture, that blues culture. The Australian squad. I, I, a hundred percent. I could get around Tedesco going over there. It's just how many years you get out of him?, He cops some shots week in, week out, like
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah, yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:but
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:if he can pick him up cheap enough and he can go over there for two years.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:sort of help build it up like the Bromage Brothers and Fui and that have done it Dolphins well,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah, think if
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:That's what I was thinking.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:the Bears can pick up a couple of players from that same club that are already amongst that, that, that culture already and sort of drag it along with them, I think go a long way to helping'em out as well.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah, yeah, no, I agree with that. So, yeah, I've got Humphreys.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I can get
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I, I, I was surprised that he was even on the market. I thought Souths had ti him up long term. And to be quite honest, when I seen his name, now that PEA's been signed, Pez would've been my first choice for the exact same reason up young, up and coming half back. And he's by far the best young halfback coming through that's on that available list for November one.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:And I'd be, I'd be going hard for him.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Be overpaying for him to be honest, because it'll, it'll, it'll work out in the end. It won't be overpaid.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah. Well, you said about, um, not understanding that, why South haven't locked him up yet. But the other Tyra, I, I don't see why, uh, Melbourne haven't locked him down with Pza, just leaving
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:any of. How many years are we gonna get outta Monster? And Hughes has signed on for three more years. Wish I'd be locking Wishard down because he's your next six
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:quite easily transition into that seven roll when Hughes does retire.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:my number seven, from north of the border and that's Jayden Campbell.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yep. You reckon Campbell?
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:he, he'd done enough for me at seven this year that I could build a team around him. And I think the Titans have, Titans have got him playing seven now and they've gotta lock him down to play there. Seven, he, he is gonna be a good seven. He's just gotta get that preseason in get some game time playing that role.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah, I think, I think Humphreys has a lot more upside to Campbell. I think. Um, I think Humphreys is more that natural halfback and I think he's gonna be a very, very, very good player to be, to be quite honest. And I, I'm gonna guess that SaaS will lock him up. He won't, he won't stay free for long. Um, I dunno Why Manly let him go to begin with?'cause he was the succession for DCE, you would've been the perfect one to slide in there next to Brooks. So
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I don't, I don't know why they've done that to be fair,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:but he was it on the available list, so I'm gonna take him.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:The other one I thought about for that seven roll was Tom Duffy Cowboys released him to go to Brisbane, haven't resigned him. They only wanted him for the one year.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Um, he showed a lot coming through that, that system and playing Queensland Cup that all, he got the nod at the start of the year for the Cowboys. And I think the, the hype of the NRL got to him. I think didn't play nowhere near his potential that he showed coming through, the Queensland Cup. So I think Tom Duffy could be a, a little sneaky buyer for the Bears, I think.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:but
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:with that.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:moving on to the front row and I'm sure it's on everyone's potential Perth Bears list and that's Tino.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. I've got T now.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Lock him in, purchase him, buy him for five years,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Ford Pack around Tino, give him the arm band. He's the one to instill that new, that steel that, yeah. He's the
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:A hundred I a hundred percent agree. And once he put himself on the open market and. I think, I think the Bears would've stood up and had a look at that. Apparently the storm are the number one favorites to sign him, but you gotta have a, you gotta have a discussion with the Bears.'cause I think the Bears can offer you a lot more and you'll have a lot, a big say on how that club operates the way that he wants it to.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:the only thing that sort of, I think holds him back from going to Perth is. He is been in that Titan side that's been rebuilding for years on end. Now
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:how much toll has that taken on him mentally? can he go through it again? That, that, that's the question that he'd be asking himself.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Well he said, he said the other day that he, he wants to win games and. You're not going to the bears with the ex expecting to win straight off the bat. You have to have
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:right.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:of a, you know, understanding that it's probably not all gonna work out straight away. So
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:No, that's, yeah. Um, other front row pairing note, um, I went with Lindsey Smith coming outta that Penrith system, I think. Yeah, he, he could instill some good, some good things over there too.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I, I agree with that and I thought about that, but. I was, I wasn't thinking about a cap necessarily and then kind of threw it to the wind anyway. But you know, I, I'd have Colins there or the one I've got down there is kLab, I think. I think, um, him and Tino in the front would be just really powerful. Both got offloads, I think. I think that'd be a really good forward pairing. So
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah, I think I call him a tongue. good. And I, I think you're right. Like, but it is another one. I, I don't think let him go. He's
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:is on the, he's on the market, so that's why, that's why I put him down. Did Lindsey Smith get pushed outta that Penrith system you reckon?
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Um, I think, yeah, I'm not a hundred percent sure the whole everything that's going on down there, but I just think he's, he's been involved in that winning squad for a couple of seasons now, and you can take that winning feeling and it to Perth with him.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah, I, I can't see Penrith letting go of another good front rower like they did with Fisher Harris. It, it's so soon. I think they tie Lindsey up. Apparently the Knights are chasing him as well. Lindsey Smith. So I, um, yeah, we'll just have to see what happens with that.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:it's, it gets worse for when it comes to my side because my, um. One of my back rowers is coming outta that same system in Liam Henry.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah, I've actually got, I don't think I have any Penrith players in here at all.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I've done it with it.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:he's young. He's been involved in that same winning culture.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:he can take that big runner like that, that heavy hit up. He can run a good line. can find his hands and knees when he needs to tackle as well. Uh, I mean, being young, he's still got those couple little handling issues, but gonna come with experience and playing more football games.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Do we just go and do back rowers now?
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:All right. Alright, so which is your other one?
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:My other back rower. He spent a bit of time in Penrith as well. Um, a bit of time up at the Cowboys, done
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:already know.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:up there, and now he is probably one of the, one of the top three back rows in the competition. That's kick out.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah, I've got kick out, but I've got firmer from the Gold Coast.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I think. I think firmer would be a very, very good signing to be honest. He's, he's unbelievable. He outplayed, he's outplayed the last three seasons. He's outplayed David Fafe, which hasn't really been hard, but he's been an absolute superstar for them. And I, I'd be trying to get into his ear, bring him and Tino from that system, and I, I think they're on a pretty good way with their Fords in that, to be honest.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:So, and Kick out. Kick out. Just keeps giving, he's won Premier Ships. The Bulldogs are looking for some salary cap relief like Burton might be getting released. So he is another one that could end up there at six. Would I take, I'd probably take Burton over Walter's if he was available, but he wasn't on the available list, so that's why I didn't pick him. I didn't wanna, you know, a dream that hasn't happened. But if Burton became available, I'd probably take him Mobile alters, to be honest.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah. Um, alright.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:got at Hooker?
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah, so our hooker, I started with Billy Walters
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:went on the Jayden Barrel.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Um, playing second fiddle down there at the Shire. Doesn't get a whole lot of game time and he's probably not gonna get any game time in the near future with Braley down there. Bray's. Unbelievable. And,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I actually landed with Sam Vels.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. Sam Vels
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yep.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:from the Gold Coast.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:From the Gold Coast. I think he's got enough first grade experience now. not, he's not a superstar hooker, but he can
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. I,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:good,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I find he gets injured a lot.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah. But he's got that first grade experience that he could be over there helping some up and coming juniors coming through those two cup sides.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. If.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah. Hooker was a, was a position that you could've went with like, you know, I ideal world you Harry Grant. It's
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:but yeah,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:not likely.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:being more realistically. The other one I I sort of thought about was Jake Simkin from Manley.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Um, again, he's got enough first grade experience that he could, he could go over there and be your start and hooker and then sort of build from there.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah, yeah. I went with um, Corey PS just one of Premier ship. He's got Moses sitting there in Be behind him. He is available, you can upgrade his pay and you can grab him. He's a very, very good hooker. And you could lock him down in that nine position. He's the first person to touch the ball. Every single set and is reliable, gets in, makes his tackles I think, I think paces would be a really good direction to go. You know, just won a premiership and I think that's what you're, what you're looking at, like obviously my theme has sort of been that I've, I'm trying to take a lot from that premiership winning team of the Broncos, but that's, that's what happens with salary caps and bringing this team in you. You lose players and I think peaks could probably be expendable to a certain degree after next season.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah, I, I've gotta agree, like it's, he's a good, a good fit and you got him and Walters, but I, I think Brisbane tried to sign one of them because you got Moses coming through and that's all well and good, but yeah. Is he gonna be first grade ready?
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Like, you're gonna
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:a hundred percent.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:you gotta, you gotta have that, that challenge there as well. Like Ben Hunt retires that. Then the next year maybe, who knows?
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:You're gonna have nobody challenging. And if PAs and Walters and Hunt are all gone,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:hope Blake, Moses got some big shoulders.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Brisbane, Brisbane could also be going to the market. We, we don't know what's going on as well. Like
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:No, no.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:they could be looking at a couple of these others that are coming off contract as well. But yeah, I, I just think Brisbane try and lock Walters or PAs down.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Um,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:we'll see what happens. Anyway, so here's your lock.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:uh, I went for a young lock. But he's played finals. He's come out of a pretty good system, and I went with Blake Steep
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yep.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:from the roo.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I've, um, I've gone with the experience mainly because this player, along with Tino, along with firmer, you know, kick out. I think, I think this player is what you want to build your team around on that toughness on that not giving up and pushing in. Um, so I went with Kian McInnis. I don't think the Sharks let him go, but he'd, he'd be an unbelievable player for them to have just through his pure experience and, and stuff like that. So I know he is getting a little bit older, but
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:That was, I've looked at McKinnis and I thought the same thing, and it was the same with Hooker. And I thought about Damien Cook and the age was a big thing for me and how much toll, but McKinnis
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:McKinnis done his ACL this year.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I think it was his ACL. Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah. So he's, he's gonna be recovering from that year. And like, even like doing your own ACL, like, you never know how you're gonna come back from it. just one of those things, like you, you're always second guessing yourself. So, um, I guess we'll see how McKinna comes back, whether he is still that, still that type of player or not.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yep.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Uh,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:who's on your bench?
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:14. I got wish up.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Uh, get around it, I don't think he leaves that 14 role at Melbourne to go play 14 over there. I think if he's
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:if he's gonna leave Melbourne, he's gonna want to go to a starting six or seven role.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah, I, I do understand that. I think, I think that I've got him on there to replace PS and then he is there to replace the HARs if anything happens. You know what I mean? Like, um, I, I think he was the best option for 14'cause he's so versatile. Um, yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:In my, my fourteens. He brings a little bit of Mongol to the field when he comes out there and you've, you've seen it because he's been at your club this season and last season. That's Tyson Gamble.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I had gamble as a thought. Here was my other thought,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:He
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:but I don't, I don't think he can play that hooker role very well. And that's where I, I don't think you can have a team without two hookers now. I don't think, I think the 80 minute hookers are done thing, like there's not too many of'em anymore.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Braley,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah, I know. But
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Harry Grant, red
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Most of the teams are still running 80 minute hookers. They've just got that, that 14 is so versatile. They could play 9, 6, 7, 13 in the centers. I do,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:do agree. Having that ability to be able to play. Nine if needed
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:is a big thing. But yeah, I think it, if he has to play nine and I guess it'll come down to coaching. Like if he's only gonna go out there and do it for 10 minutes, like,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:And then drop back to lock.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah. You are only, you're only out there four or five sets,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. I, I, I was trying to, trying to squeeze gamble into my team.'cause I actually really like gamble and think he still deserves a spot in the NRL. I don't think he's quite ready to go to the Super league. Um,'cause I, yeah, I still really, really like gamble and unfortunately the Knights are moving on from him being an option.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah. I like his that he brings, like, I
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:think every team in NRL needs somebody like gamble that's got that bit of Mongol in them.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Um, but I guess that was just a, yeah. Um, my other three, they're all part of the Ford Pack that
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:start if they really need to, but
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yep,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah, I probably have'em on the bench on my team if I'm the coach. And that's Josh Curran,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yep.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Frank, Frankie Mullo
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Hughes.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yep. That's where we,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:all, they've all been all been part of systems that win football games and they're hard. They, you know, like, They're just, I, I'm a, I'm a fan of C Hughes. I think he's gonna, gonna go well.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah, I, um, I went a bit different, but there, there's a lot to choose from really, when you have a look at that list. Like, you can sit there and swap people. Like I wanted to put Rin in there. And then I took Rin out and I ended up, I went with, um, Wong from the Roosters. He's an up and coming player, young player. I've got Nen from the Cowboys. He's a very, he's a good front row. I,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:know I, I'm,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I'm not saying he is not, but I'm not letting him go. You can get stuffed.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:no, I'm going for Nen and I've got, um, sewer,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:no. I'm, I'm not signing that one off.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I've got sewer to rear-end it off there in the 17. So
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah, I, I don't mind Jayden. Sorry. He's, he's, yeah, he's, when he
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I think
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:he's
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:under,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:though.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:under, I think under, they'll go to another level to be honest.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah, I, my just, my worry is, yeah, when he's, he is not on, he's, yeah, he's not on.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I think, I think he needs to get outta that dragon system.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah. But then I look at that dragon system and like they could quite easily be going places as well. Like they're just that team
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah, they, they've been like that for ages though. That's the, that's the thing. Well, they've got these good players that sit there like you, you see Lomax that's gone to another level again, since he's left there, you know, like I know that, I know that a lot of it had to do with, he wanted to play in the centers and he clearly his best spots wing.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah, that's right. But I, I don't know. I think dragons. Dragons are pretty close to sneaking into that eight if Val Holmes and that, uh, don't get injured. There was a
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:as well, but Val Holmes is a big loss for'em. Big loss for the Cowboys. We, we should never have let him go. I wish we had cap space. Uh,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:but
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:But the, the thing is, you don't want to just sneak into that eight. You wanna be competitive when you get to that eight and, you know, show your worth. Do you think the dragons could show their worth in the eight if they made it,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Well,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:or you think they're a one and done?
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah, I don't know. It's, it's hard because you, you look at'em through the season when a lot of close games
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:and you know, like you get to finals football and finals, football's a whole different beast.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I don't, I, I just don't see'em getting that next gear to do that finals football thing. I really don't.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I if, yeah. Well, if I'm the Dragons, I'm probably to the market this year and looking for out and out number seven, because I don't think Flanagan's your seven,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I wish they've spent more time with IUs. I think IUs isn't as bad as what people making me out to be, so,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:The Dragons should be probably making a, a play at Hugo Savala. The
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:gonna push him out. Now if Cherry Evans signing the dotted line, well, Savala's
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:you, what are you assign him for? Like he's a good half. He's got a good boot on him, but I don't think that's gonna be his position long term.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Savala could play six, seven, or 13,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:and he's. He's, yeah, he's probably a player that you could build around and if you're gonna lock him down. Yeah.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. But the same with if Burton, if they release Burton to have a look at options as well, like the Bears would be a good spot for him to land, like be good for the Bears anyway.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I dunno. Burton can come up to the Cowboys play
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:that's, that's on, that's on the cards too. So.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:So, I mean, I'd take Hugo up there too, like,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah, yeah. Ease. But yeah, there's so many variables, so many players that could. Like we said before, this is all a super league. We don't watch a whole heap of Queensland Cup or
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Oh, I think, I think Tristan, Tristan Sailor could come back. He's, he's, he's not a bad, a bad player. He is just,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Does
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:he know I'm fortunate for the way things worked out. Hey.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:does he want to come back? Because he is gone over there and it's gone to a different level. He's,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:he was killing it at the start of the year and he's killed it most of the year since
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah, I don't think, I don't think they're gonna let him go without a fight for him anyway.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:No,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Says
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:it could be the same as Bevin, French just doesn't want to, but you know, some of those players go over to England and they, they just really enjoy themselves. So,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:That's right.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:you know, I, I don't think I seen, I didn't see anything that in that Ashes game that stood out to sign for the Bears to be chasing. I, yeah. What do you reckon, like George, George Williams is going to the Dolphins to play alongside Cat?
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:there, there's a couple of them. See, there's another one you could, perf could pick up reasonably cheap, that snicker is getting replaced.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:W when he was on this year, him and Kato worked so well together, and I, they always talked about Nico this, Nico that coming through that Brisbane setup, and he, he showed little glimpses, but this year and yeah, since he went to the Dolphins, really, he's, he's shown it more often.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I don't know. Perth go over there playing the mouth a couple years. He, he could be all right.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah. No, I agree with that. I think Nima was paid too much to go over to New Zealand and that kind of killed it.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah. And he, he's another one that can play six, seven or, or nine if really needed to. Like,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:be your, your 14.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah, yeah, definitely, definitely. But there, there's a lot of good players out there on the market and all these other clubs that are struggling. They, they should be up having a look at some of these players as well. Just don't overpay for'em. That quick fix, frigging, multimillion dollar deal doesn't always work out. So for feeders, for feeder, you know, Ash Taylor, all these players, they get given all this big money and it doesn't fill out. So you've gotta, you've gotta really pick and be sure of the player that you're getting and what reason you're getting them for. I know it's a very Titan play type thing. Over paper. That's what they've gotta do. The knights do the same thing. We've had some atrocious deals, so, and we're yet to learn whether or not the brown one's gonna be an atrocious one or a good one. So
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I'm still very much on the fence of Brown. I, I really don't see him as the seven,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I don't think you will be the seven. I don't think you'll be the seven,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Um, yeah, so it'd be, really interesting to watch and see how that whole thing pans out at Newcastle. Um,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:with sand. And Smith confirmed definitely going up the
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:For four years. Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Um, but yeah, it.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I, I just don't think you can send Fletcher Sharp back to the wing. I don't think there's a spot for him on The Wing anyway. But I know that his, his best spot's fullback, but he's not better than pga. If PGA is still there, pong is still the fullback. You need Fletcher Sharp in the middle of the field around the ball.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:That's, that's the problem. And the, and the other problem is he didn't actually play that bad at six to justify taking him outta that halve outta the halves.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:No.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:People didn't think it was gonna work when he got put into six in the first place, and he proved them wrong by having an outstanding season. So what's to say? You can't play half that.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah. Well, everyone doesn't know that that's where he learned the football. He
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:He, he grew up like all through his Cessna career. Like he, he was a seven. He went to the Knights as a seven.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:And that's who I'd be having ESMI seven. And I'd have CI as the number nine.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:he's, yeah, he's, he's experience in the NRL. It's getting up there. He had a pretty horrific injury. him out for the
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Well, he still hasn't played that many games. He, he's, he's proved himself, but he hasn't had that many games. He'd be still under 50 games.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah, I know that. But
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:that's what I'm getting at. It's, it's the experience of being able to run the team at an NRL level. probably gonna be the only thing that hurts. Fletch going to seven, but if he has the right players around him and he's got that experience in his Ford pack that can get forward, get the hands and knees, and let him go from there
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:on
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I use natural game.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:kick the
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:There's no reason Fletcher Sharp can't run that team.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Well that's our, that's our teams anyway. Do you wanna run through your whole team or?
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah, so just a, a bit of a recap. Uh, Buller at one, Cobo at two. Jesse YaaS as his wing partner, and then I got Nick Meany, Ruben Gar as me center pairing Amarillo at six. Jaden Campbell, seven Big Tino and Lindsey Smith. Me two front Rowers, Sam Vels Mi Hooker. Kick out Liam Henry as me two Edge back rowers Blake's steep packing in at 13. Then on me Bench, Tyson Gamble, Josh Curran, Frankie Mullo, Sam Hughes, I think, yeah, overall I think is a good balance. In there's, yeah. Some experience out there. There's some just starting their careers out. I just, yeah.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah, no, I agree. I, I don't think that's a bad team to be honest. I, I think it's pretty good. But my, my team was Ja Gray at Fallback. Cabo at two. Arthur's at five. Tomoko at three. Gar at four. Billy Wilders at six. Humphrey's at seven. At seven. Kama. Kgi at eight PS at nine, 10. Oh, at 10. Kick out at 11 fi. Furthermore, at 12, McInnis at 13, we shot at 14. Wong at 15, N at 16, and sewer at 17. Think that's a pretty over the cap team, to be honest. Once you go through those, some of those forwards anyway, so yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:So November one's around the corner and maybe it's gonna be interesting time these next couple of weeks. I think there's gonna be a lot of, lot of talks, a lot of speculation about different player movements. Uh. The, yeah, I, I kind of can't wait. It's, it's probably been one of the, the best off or the, the, the most talked about off season over the last few years anyway. I don't think there was quite this much height when the dolphins come in.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:No, because yes, kind of watched all the players go in and out and talk to'em and turn'em down. It was kind of underwhelming. I think that's all you remember of it. Like the cheese went in there, turned them down, ponga went in there, turned them down. Like everyone months, they went in there, turned them down. You know, they only grabbed
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I think
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:the hammer at last minute before the season.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah. Well, and that was'cause he couldn't find his way back to that one spot with us. But I
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:have probably watched it a bit more closer this year, this time around. And. Yeah,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:It'll be, it'll be interesting.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I would assume that there'd be phone calls that have already been made.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:there's nothing that the media and the NRL, they, they're not, the phones aren't getting tracked. Like there'd be
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:that bears have spoke to that nobody knows about, and there'd be a couple little handshakes going on here and we can offer you this. And yeah. So
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:is all just speculation and this is,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:like, yeah, I
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:And at the end of the day, you dunno what sort of third party agreements they've got, it would've been part of the application, what they can provide third party wise to make'em competitive and all of that. It, it, it'd be a lot more complex than what we think it is, so than what we notice it is anyway. So it'll be interesting. It's gonna be, it's gonna be a pretty interesting off season anyway and in the next season. So a few of those players, they're gonna have to move quickly on to get their signature, but. But there might be a few of those bigger ones that, you know, they can hold off a little bit and sort of see where they wanna be in six months time. So, you know, as long as it's all before preseason next year, I suppose, and they'll have a fair idea of where they're gonna be at. So, yeah. So we do a little bit of a sports route. Um, we had the, oh, Pacific Championships, SAMO were beaten Tonga in that, um, game that was rain delayed for a very long time. Or we was watching the game and then got over the delay and ended up playing PlayStation instead. But, um. Yeah, it wasn't too bad a game good on Samoa for making the win, and it puts the pressure on Tonga to try and beat New Zealand this week, or it'll be a New Zealand Samoa final, which is pretty good for the Samoa after making that other, um, final not too long ago either.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah, I don't, the way Tonga played played, um, I don't know. It was, it just didn't look up for it. I mean, I know there was a lot of, a lot of their players played much football of late, but.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I think they'll getting back into the game just before that rain delay to be, to be fair, I think if that game doesn't get delayed, I think it's a very different outcome. I, I think, I think Tonga was starting to get the momentum. Go their way.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:losing the captain the night before the game probably deflates him a little bit. Um,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah, but I, I don't see him beating New Zealand. I
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:They also, they, they lost like five minutes into the game too.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:a hundred percent, he's already ruled out for this week. So he, he doesn't play.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. Same as yo. Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah, no, haven't anything on any cowboys pages or anything just to see how going
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Uh, apparently he's back in,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:So, um.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I think.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah, it's, I dunno, it's gonna be an interesting one,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I don't, yeah, don't think they, they beat New Zealand.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:No, I don't see him beating New Zealand. New Zealand are coming off a high, off that first game and had the fortnight off, so, or the week off, um, B'S team, like I said before, I, England didn't get very much. Um, I don't think they were, uh, I don't think, I think England had the ability, I think they just went about it the wrong way and tried to pass their way to victory and it didn't quite work out for'em. Um, it was a close game for majority of it. It wasn't, it wasn't like it was a flogging from the get go. They just tired out in the end. So I think that, um. I think England are on a, on the right to trajectory, but surely they could have, you know, included Brimson into that team to um, to help give a little bit of spark to it. Like farm worth was unbelievable. George Williams was doing really well, but you can see that they've had NRL experience. So otherwise the Fords and that were just getting beaten back and, you know, Bateman's still a grub, so
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:No.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:you see him put the knee into the back of freaking old mate's head.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah, I did. Um, and yeah, I did placed the cowboys. I gotta defend him.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:He is just got that grub in him. He, he was an option for that Bears team and I could not put him in there for the simple fact of, he's not what he was when he was at Canberra. And two,, like gives away too many penalties, and you don't need that with a new team that needs confidence.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:No, you don't. Um, but I don't know, it's, I, I stayed up. I knew if I went to sleep I wouldn't, I wouldn't get back up to watch it and been the first actress for a while. So I really wanted to watch it live. Uh, yeah, I just, I think Australia would, were good. Like at the end of the day, they were, the ability to go wide. And I don't think England had, they just
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:A Walsh.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:No, they didn't have Reese Walsha at all.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:No, they don't have that game broker to step up and I think Brimson could have gave him a little bit of that.'cause he brings that sort of energy, you know,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:do you play in,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:fullback.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:you move on Wellby.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. I don't think Wellby did anything spectacular to warrant keeping his position.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I, um, yeah, but I, a lot of the England team gets picked simply because they play in England week in, week out, like.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. Well that's what was said that Sean Wayne went for a, we'll show you that there's enough talent in the Super league on its team without NRL players,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:but he still had NRL players in there.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Oh, he
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Right. He would, if Rad was a avail, if Bradley's available, he would've put him in there. But Bradley makes a difference to that team.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah. Uh, Dominic Young hasn't played since start of September.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:John Bateman hasn't played since the start of September. Brimson would've been the same. Like Yeah, if you go adding too many NRL players, I think especially for those of the players that haven't played since we start of finals, like it's a long time about playing football.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:no, the problem's gonna be that, you know, they're gonna pick these players. Australia's gonna come out and flog'em, and then they're gonna re-pick new players and start with new combinations and next year's the World Cup. Like they need to try and build off what they've already got and improve on it. Have a look at last week's game and bring those players in or change out those players that did let you down and put in players that will do the job for you.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah. Uh, game two played to Everton on Sunday morning. I, yeah, if 20 minutes, uh, played quite similar to Game one Australia. Go on. They win it and they probably win the series three. Nil England come out in their first 20 minutes and bash Australia at
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:On, and the series is on.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. They've, they've just gotta want it. That's all. That's all they've gotta do. Like the Aussies are gonna think that they're just gonna walk all over'em. And that's the worst thing with Australia. You come out and go at'em and give them a competition. They struggle to find the form that they need to, but time will tell. You know, Australia's got a pretty strong team. I just don't think that it's sad to see England so far behind
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Who gets the lock roll,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:with OR.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Do you
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Carri. Carrigan Carrigan's
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:do you think
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:already been named. They've already named the team.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Uh,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:named a lot. Lindsay Col. Lindsay Smith's coming into, um, in the front row.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Um, let's see how outta service I've been the last couple of Um, but I know that it was a bit of talk with a stranger getting the debut and possibly played a 13 role.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah, I could have seen that.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I could have really got around it. I think he could. Quite easily play 13 and be that
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. It might be on the bench to come in and do that exact thing. I'm not a hundred percent sure
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:do you
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I can have a look.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:And told me, did no,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Um, yeah, if you're gonna play him at 13, you could I think,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:you run the risk of having that extra, that person that could go out and play front row or back row or you take two head knocks, lose two front rowers, even strange. And Tommy did and can't go out and play in the front row.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:oh, sorry. Lindsay Collins has gone to front row with Tino and Lindsay Smith's on the bench. With Ruben Kota and, um, ton. So no, he didn't Strange, didn't make it into the, he's not even on the extended bench,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:so, but yeah. Carrigan's going back to, um, 13.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah, I know there was, yeah, there was talk of I, uh, strange or possibly Kota go to 13 and stays up front, which I could have got around as well. But, um, yeah, I just, I don't know. I, I dunno why the Super league's so far behind the NRL though. And do you see it improving with
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Uh.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:purchasing and, and implementing rules and everything?
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:No, because I think that, I think that, um, it comes down to the, the training and attitude. I don't, I don't think it's anything less, you know what I mean? Like it's just the way the training facilities and all that is set up. It's also the way they play the game. They played a score every set. Australia doesn't, we play defense and
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:pressure.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:really annoyed me with that first game was how, much the English thing slowed it down.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Like Australia's just so
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:get it moving and yeah, they just, I don't know. It annoyed me.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:We do have an, we got an Australian referee. This.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:the referee this week being Australian, um, yeah, hopefully it does speed it up a little bit, but,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:and I think. That could also really, really hurt England.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Um, because if it is faster, they're just going, you gonna fall behind even
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Also, the NRL teams have better competition to play against, like every single NRL game's. Not an easy game, it's, they're a hard game where in the Super League you've got teams in there that aren't really up to standard of a first grade
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Uh,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:competition. They're not playing the best of the best every week like they sort of do here. So that, that's a conditioning thing as well.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:but
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:So.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:at with, if the NRL does officially take it all over, I think that part of the game could change a little bit and there'd be a little bit more competition'cause teams would be able,'cause. They'll have their caps, the teams will be able to, to pay for other players, and I think it'll spread that talent out a little bit more and bring them all closer together.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yep. No, I agree. Um, I watched a little bit of the cricket the other day, one of the one days, the one where, um, India were going down with cramp by the end of the game, which confused me. I thought it must have been some sort of tactic that they were playing, but
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Well,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:you reckon it was a tactic?
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:you, you can waste a little bit of time. Um,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:There was like six of them down with at the same time.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah, I don't know. I didn't, I, I watched the, the last game the day, but yeah, I don't know. It, it, it's a different heat. Different, different climate over here compared to what they're used to. And
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I think that plays on a lot of them. So it could very well have been just simple cramps
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:game in Sydney was only two days after the Adelaide game,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:of'em would've been fatigued.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:it was good to see Coley back in the runs, but I mean, not so good for Australia, but battered well come out if he to begin with. But once he got off a duck, he just went to work and it
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yep.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah, you wouldn't have thought that he'd got back to back ducks.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:No,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Same as wrote Sharma like you wouldn't have thought that he'd been struggling for, to score runs that a hundred. The other night was just. It's clean. It wasn't, it's hardly a chance given
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:So, um,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I, I don't think it's been too bad of a one day series. I think the 2020 started today, but you know, it's a good, good, good warmup before we take on England in the ashes anyway, so, which I'm looking forward to.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah, can't, can't wait for the ass.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:So, although Amanda told me the other day that probably not going down to her parents for Christmas, so quite possibly not going to the Melbourne test that all I want to
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I may.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:to a Boxing Day ashes test.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah, it's probably not gonna happen this year, so
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. Well,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:wait for him to come back again in a couple years time. Maybe I sneak down to Sydney and
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:maybe we do.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:day.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah, maybe we do.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah, well maybe,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Go watch day three of a Sydney test.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:well, I, remember years ago I went and watched and Australia. It was the, the year Michael Clark got his 3 29 and yeah, started day one. And then by the end of day one, I'd bought tickets for GA day two.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:then lunchtime day two, I bought tickets for three, four, and five.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:just the atmosphere down there. Unbelievable
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:that,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:wanna, I wanna see what it's like. I've never been to a cricket game at all, so.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:That's why I love to go watch Boxing Day test, an actions test, listening
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Army,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:them a go.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah, yeah. Well, this week I haven't got much on gaming other than the Battlefield six Battle Royale mode coming out yesterday. Um, I've been given it a go. It's not too bad. You can pay duos or quads. Um, I need a partner. I think it'd be far better off on it, but it, its actually really good and it's free for anyone that you know has past five. Xbox pc. You can play that mode for nothing, so, which is really good. But yeah, you got anything for gaming?
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:I've done absolutely zero gaming. Um. Most of my weekend was packing everything up, ready to go away for work and well, yeah,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:away, so
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:back working some big days and whatnot now. So I haven't, haven't had a, had a lot to do with any gaming. Uh, watched a few videos on the, on the new Cricket, but, um, yeah, I, I'm still very much looking forward to Cricket coming out in a couple of weeks.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:as well. Um,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I know we've got the new Xbox that we can talk about and stuff like that, but you know, it's already in an hour 20 now, so just drag it out more. So we might save that till next week when there's not as much to talk about.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:yeah, um, I'll do a bit more research on the Xbox, so I'm very interested to see how that, that multi-platforms gonna work.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah. All right. We'll move into our predictions anyway. So our predictions are brought to you by cross air pipe and excavation for your needs in pipe laying poly welding or excavations. Head over there to the Facebook page and get in touch with Zach.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Hoover's tips this week because, well, he's, he's not here, so
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:hiss outta the way.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:So he's got New Zealand to beat Tonga, and he has the San Francisco 49 ERs to beat whoever they're playing. I haven't got the draw up in front of me. So I'm not sure who they're playing. I got a win last week, so both of my predictions come right with Australia and the Ravens, which was a little bit of a copier. Um, we also got our three horse trifecta for the Cox plate. Um, we're gonna do the Melbourne Cup, but we'll post that onto our page once we've figured out what we've got.'cause um, Hoover's not here. And um, and then we'll talk about it after the cups run, I suppose, whether we won or not. But um, yeah, I've got, I've got the Ravens to win this week.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Back to back.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah, Ravens to go back to back beat Miami. Um, and I've also got me and United to beat Nottingham Forest.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah. Well hopefully not even forest the season. Can't go, can't get much worse. Um, United, uh, pains me to say it, but ar is starting to play some good football over there,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:but at the end of the day, me and Chester still blue and it will stay blue. So for all United supporters, well false hopes and dreams. So, um,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I'll get a win this week.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:they should, if you look at United over the last few years, they should have won a lot more games that they didn't and it's teams like Forest little ones they've dropped points to.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Uh, but yeah, they. Forest, they're, they're down in the dump, so sack pour in. Uh, and yeah, relegation, they might
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:back
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:I think they're in dramas. Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:So my couple of teams, I've gone to the A-League and I've not much of an A-League supporter these days. Um, I find it, it's very slow. They lot of, yeah. It's so much behind the rest of the world. But both my, my tips are coming from the A-League, uh, Sydney FC to knock the jets off. I,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yeah.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:the, the Jets. They, they won the cup. They
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:One last week.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Lost to Central Coast round one last week. They got a win, but still don't think it was convincing enough, I think. Yeah. Sydney fc. Yeah. I just be a good game. But I think Sydney FC or Pippa in the post, um, a one they should win quite easily. and as part of that whole city, city band and Melbourne City to beat the Brisbane Royal,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:So you got, both of yours are in the A-League this week.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:both, I've gone both a league this week. Um, City in Brisbane. They kicked the, kicked the round off on Friday night up by seven. Played in Brisbane. Um, but I think, yeah. Melbourne's too strong. They, they've been right at the top for a couple of years now, and I think, yeah, they'll continue that and be Brisbane on Friday night.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yep. Well that's our predictions for the week, so should be good. And um, Melbourne Cup on Tuesday.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah. So on the Facebook page. Uh, get over there. We'll post what our prediction. We're just gonna put a box trifecta in there. Pick or pick a horse each and,
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yep. Yeah,
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:maybe I, we, yeah, a conjoin trifecta as well as picking our own trifectas. See how close we all are.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:yeah, yeah. We'll see how we go. So you got anything else for this week?
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:No, I think that's just about it. Like I said, we'll, we'll do a bit of research on this new combined system and yeah, we'll give you our thoughts on it next week.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yep.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Talk about, yeah, how much we've lost on Melbourne Cup.
the-incoherent-podcast_1_10-29-2025_204609:Yep. Well, well let's buy from us anyway.
zach-host729_1_10-29-2025_204611:Yeah, it's from me and I guess, um, Hoover's. Yeah. Well he is probably asleep being crook, but be see
